List of the Hospitals in Thailand
where direct settlement of Claims has been agreed with HealthCare
International:
Information from HealthCare International Global Network
Ltd.
The present Underwriter of HCI's Health Plans,
"Sagicor Life and Capital", has withdrawn from the international
HealthCare business. Therefore, HealthCare International has
committed new Underwriters, i.e. ColinaImperial, a
subsidiary of Colina Holdings Bahamas Ltd, and
National Life Insurance
Company (NLIC), a member company of Optimum Group, USA.
These Companies are endowed with large financial reserves and rated
"A" (excellent) by the most reputed worldwide Rating Agency for
Insurers, A.M. Best. This will guarantee the continued
financial security for our clients.

On the other hand, concerning the Premium and the Executive Plans, HealthCare

Thailand:

New Insurance Plans 2009
Here you go to see the
new Insurance plans. The changes
compared to the 2008 Plans are minor and mainly concern the
out-patient benefits (regarding the plans where they are covered).
Despite the premium increase as per 2009, we still offer an
unparalleled premium-/benefits ratio.
Listed Hospitals
Considering the meanwhile significant number of Expats in
Thailand which became customers of HealthCare International, we are
now negotiating agreements with the most important Hospitals
of the concerned areas. The objective of such agreements is to
arrange the straightforward direct billing by the Hospital to HCI,
in order to avoid the Hospitals to refuse the direct billing and
compelling cash payment by the patient, leading often to unnecessary
and overpriced treatments, of which the Insurance understandably
refrains from compensation. You may "google" your preferred Hospital
in the Internet, and, if you're lucky, find some meaningful blogs.
New applications with start date 1. January 2009 or later
HCI inform us that new applications with
start date 2009 are subject to partly sharp increases of
the premiums. Such applies especially for older aged
first-applicants. Following our prima facie comparisons, the premium
increases amount from around 50% to even over 100%, depending upon
the Plan and the age group. Following HCI, such is based on the
severe rise of healthcare claims and expenses of these age groups in
the recent past . You may consult our
Instant Online Premium-Calculator to calculate your premium.
Concerning our existing Customers, the
premiums for renewal shall be re-assessed as per 1st June 2009.
There are to be expected inflation based increases in the single
digit percent range.
